That's a nice compact design. One question, how easy is it to replace the GG glass inside the adapter. For example, if I use Alex's GG, can I get to the holder easily to replace?

I like the nice compact design too. What kind of mounts do you offer? And I really wish you would use a tripod for your test shots at least sometimes. Itīs impossible to judge the sharpness otherwise. There also seems to be some severe vignetting.

Looks nice, unfortunately my budget won't allow a 35mm adapter right now, but maybe in the future.

Very nice, I wish I could use the same vibrating mechanism as you - that would allow me to slash the cost of my adapter!

I use Daniel's vibrating gg holder, and it's the most expensive component by far.

Well done on creating such a neat, well thought out adapter!

Hi there, I glue the gg using hot glue on 2 corners so to replace you would have to work the old one out, it Pops out easy, and glue the new one on, so its easy if you have a hot glue gun laying around, hard if not.

I am looking into manufacturing GG holders that can allow for easy changing of gg, preferreably without tools, but i'm not there yet.

Just A NOTE: Alex's GG will not work with this design. Alex's GG do not diffuse the light so you need to install lenses on both sides of it to diffuse light.
So you have to set up 35mm lens-diffuser-Daniel's gg-macro-camera.
That setup gives really nice image but it makes the adaptor too big for my taste, my rig is all about keeping it compact. So for now i'm stuck with canon GGs

Yes this would be the only way as it requires camera dissasembly and soldering, drilling and that sort of stuff.

Also Dont forget that this is a Factory Warranty Voiding procedure.

Ok redid paypal link should work, soon i'll set an easier way to order.
As far as custom GG holder we are still on the talking stages, so its going to be a while.
All my adapters ship with canon Ee-s screen and as far as picking it up shure, no problem.

Jehu - I'm posting here to find out if you received my paypal yesterday morning. I also emailed you again this morning as I've some confusion over the flip-hack. I wanted it included but I suspect it got overlooked and left off my order yesterday morning. I know you're super busy now and may not be checking email as often as checking this forum.
But please let me know if you did or did not get the paypal.

thanks

chip

Hi halcali,
I'm currently building the 4th one and i'm looking at building 5 next week just waiting on parts at the moment.

I think twoneils adapters are based on Daniel's design and parts witch are very professionaly produced and machined. I am currently not manufacturing any custom parts just putting comercially availlable part toghether, but as far as image quality they should be pretty similar.

Adaptors are canon EF mount becouse its more versatile, you have the choice of using canon lenses or with the use of a $15 adapter use nikon lenses on it also.

So canon and Nikon mount lenses could be used.

Yes its 100% manual Lens, And i compared it with a Nikon 50mm f1.8 and its hard to tell the difference. I'll post footage once i get some time for now some screen caps showing my rigs in action. My Buddy over at MACPD.COM was nice enough to let me try out his extensive collection of expensive nikon and canon lenses.
OK promised footge here: Video

i only live about an hour away from you, would it be reasonable for me to drop off and pick up my camera to save on shipping and for some peace of mind for the flip hack?

also, could i see a close up of the switch you're using now (in the first pic)?

thanks!

I take it one switch is for horizontal and one is for vertical? Also, I could drop off on Thursday. Would this work for you?
