Here's a little footage of my rabbit filmed with a DIY 36mm adapter. The footage is a little dark because it was raining today so there wasn't much light falling in the corner.

Short in 25P, TV50.

It's a little shaky as I was using the HV20 handheld, and concentrating in moving in the right direction - I'm not used to the inverted picture from the adapter yet.

As you'll see, I need to clean the lens of the adapter.

Nice footage! If I could get my adapter working like this then I'd be happy.

So is this a static ground glass? Also, what are you using for the camera to focus on the ground glass?

I am trying to keep mine as cheap as possible so I am going with a static adapter...but I am having trouble keeping the dust off the ground glass.

@tkmslee, this is a vibrating adapter. I have been experimenting with a static one, but I can't find a focussing screen I'm happy with. That shouldn't surprise me because the ones I've tested are DIY, too.

So far i have tried a plastic milk bottle and various other plastics. I'm going to try something with a much finer, more random pattern in it. The quality, even using crap materials like these is surprisingly good.

Try compressed air for removing dust. This is where the vibrating ones come in useful - smaller specks are disguised by the rapid movement.

I'll try taking some footage using a static one if I have the time and can find a suitable focussing screen.
