Default Sony ECM-DS70P Stereo Plug-in Microphone

I bought a Audio Technica ATR25 mic for my HV20 and find it very cumbersom
to use. I also have a Sony plug-in stereo mic Sony ECM-DS70P which is plug-in-power device and therefore cannot be used with the HV20 mic socket which is unpowered. In the meantime I have found the following that will allow the Sony ECM-DS70P to be used with the HV20:
A True Stereo Battery Module unit that will supply the power to the ECM-DS70P for £12.99 and £2.00 for postage Europe. Normal price of ECM-DS70P £40. On Ebay about £10 with postage. So for a total price of about £25 one is able to get a very small plug-in stero microphone for the HV20. I have ordered the True Stereo Battery Module unit, and will report back with results later.
