Default HV30 - FCP Easy Setup, but wich one

    Hey

Just bought an HV30 and I want to use it with FCP on my mac.
If I run the easy setup I need to choose the HDV format, but what then?

    Q1:
I shoot in HD (not 25p), so which use in FCP do I need to choose?
    And which rate?

I live in a PAL country.

    Q2:
If my final product need to be 720p do I capture in 1080i (the answer to my first question) or do I capture in 1080?

And will the 720p workflow be lighter (for my mac) to work with?

Thank you very much, I hope I can get a clear answer.
i50 i66, the different rates. It is all new to me.

You don't have to use an EASY setup. You can create your own EASY setup.

I don't believe you can capture the 1080 HDV stream to 720p, although I have not tried it. I think you're going to have to work in HDV and either convert all of your source after digitizing to work in 720p, or convert your final edited movie clip to 720p. The latter would probably be a faster production workflow if you have significant source footage.
