Hey everyone, first post... I'm using an HV20 for the first time and I love the quality I'm getting with it, and I'll probably end up purchasing one for myself. The threads here have been really helpful. Anyway...
I experienced sync problems after capturing with Premiere CS3, so I followed the instructions for doing the pulldown back to 24p. I did that and can now make perfect 24p Lagarith AVIs. The problem is, using these files in Premiere is slow enough to make rendering a necessity, and rendering seems to take forever.
When I used the mpegs that Premiere generated (sync issues aside), I was able to edit quickly and preview at reasonable quality without rendering. How does everyone here get around this problem? What does Premiere encode its HDV mpeg files with, and is there a way to output that format with the HV20Pulldown program?
I'd like to use true 24p, but unless I find a more efficient way to edit, I'll probably just have to revert to CS2 and hope I don't have a sync issue.
XP64, Q6600, 4GB RAM, ATI HD3870.
