I'm 20 years old, been interested/attempting film making since I was 14. I started off just making slideshows for my school year, then moved on to slideshows for the family, then to videos of various things (my brothers first month in the world, my sisters birthday...etc). Then someone told me to try and make a movie... the rest, as they say, is history.

Now I'm heading off to the big smoke (city) with my HV30 for a DP gig with a friend-of-a-friend, and looking to move into a career as a film director. Not only am I working for other people, but since I started getting out and using this camera in public... I've had locals ask me if I film stuff for a living.

No doubt this will score me weekend work with music videos, bad sessions, weddings and maybe a few town adverts

I'm 29, in video production for the past 7 years. Alot more in audio. I'm primarily a semi-pro musician (drummer) working a day job, with an expensive hobby named HV30. I do a lot of audio production (mixing, mastering, recording) and always have an audio first approach to video. Maybe that's a plus, maybe not.

Have worked on a TV station as cameraman/editor, did some commercial/telop offs, made a couple of music videos. Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Same here about audio first visual second.
Some of our projects are really an audio track and go out to shoot the visuals for it. Kinda backward but it works for us. IE: see this one
