UV Filter vs Polarizing Filter
I was looking into buying a filter for my HV20. I was wondering if I had to choose between a UV and a Polarizing which would be the most practical? Is a Polarizing lens for all types of shooting, or just artsy?
UV Filter
Tiffen 43mm Photo Essentials Pack
52mm Hoya Super HMC UV Filter (need step ring):

Polarizing Filter (Circular preferred for AF)
52mm Hoya Linear Polarizer:

thanks again.

people buy the uv filter and leave it on the camera to protect the lens whereas the polarizer is used for specific situations from cutting the glare off water to heightening the contrast in the sky actually you should not have to choose between the two filters you should most definitely own both
