Default What do you think about this monitor?

From its back side, it looks a bit ugly, but its got the flip and its compact. (no cables flying around and sh!t)

No specifications though. Why the heck, are they hiding them for? U think its dodgy?

Dunno about its resolution. Anyone knows?

That would be you're typical crappy resolution monitor, certainly not HD, and not even 800x480. The only thing it's got going for it is the battery plate, and those can be bought for $4.50.

    Not worth it.

For the money, this is probably a better bet:

at double the price, this is probably a great choice:

We just used an Ikan v8000HD. On the plus side, it uses lith-ion batteries and has HD component in/out on BNCs.

On the minus side, it doesn't have flip or blue only functions, even the large Sony battery supplied with the unit dies before the alternate can be charged, and whenever a battery is connected, the big, bright green power button is lit up, sucking power.

(Oh, and it's 800x480 and has piss-poor viewing angles).

I'm glad Siniarch and our own Bruce Allen are on the job with low-volume solutions, but isn't it about time at least one of the big companies who claims to manufacture field monitors "to the trade" (looking at you, Marshall & Ikan) got it right?

Because physicially turning a monitor that weighs less than a couple of pounds upside-down is generally not too difficult!

I'm searching for a monitor these days, considering one from Xenarc, but also other options. Thing is, I've understood that not all monitors will work with the HV20 even if they've got a VGA port, for reasons unknown to me. Doesn't sound logical. But anyways, what do you guys think of the odds of hooking this one up with the HV20? It should work in theory right, but does anybody got further indications that it will or will not work?
