FS: 1.66 GHz Mac Mini, 1GB RAM

Hi, this Mac Mini is used but is in great cosmetic and working condition. However the only problem with it, is the bottom RAM slot will not detect my other 1GB stick of RAM. It is an early '06 model, I have looked up on this problem and I am not the only one that has had this happen. I have no idea if this can be fixed. By the time I was going to get it fixed, I built myself a much more powerful PC and no longer have interest in my Mac. The Mac Mini is a great, reliable computer,and very user friendly. I have re-installed the OS(Operating System) so it will run just like new. It comes with iLife '06 pre-installed(iPhoto 6, iMovie HD 6, iDVD 6, GarageBand 3, iWeb) iMovie is great for beginner editors, the same is with iDVD. I include everything that came in the retail box plus the old 512MB(2x 256MB) sticks of RAM.

Question: When you have both 256mb sticks in, does it recognize both of them? or is it the actual ram-slot that is malfunctioning. If youre not sure, would it be possible to test it?

When I had my 256MB RAM sticks in it only read 256MB of it. Then I thought, "Well maybe it's the RAM" so I bought 2GB of RAM, I wanted to upgrade anyways, so I didn't care. After I installed them I checked to see if it was reading 2GB, and it wasn't. Then I figured it was a bad RAM slot. Looks like I was right because other people with the early '06 models had the same problem. So, I'm pretty sure it's the RAM slot. There wasn't much info to see if it was fixable without replacing the motherboard.
