Default Rail system for 35mm adapter and camcorder

I couldn't really find any rail system for 35mm adapter (DIY project as well) so I decide to just make one
We have a basic design and we're going to weld&drill some steels and aluminum rods.
It won't look so fancy (probably paint black) but it will be built to last and most of stuffs will be adjustable.

Has anyone had any experience with such a thing?
Any advice or suggestion would be helpful.

I hope I'm not braking any rules by posting a link to another forum.

    ardo,
no problems linking to specific info on other sites; although your link is a little broad I think.
    You might as well say:

Actually, no. There's a lot of threads about rails in that DIY forum. Searching that forum is easier than googling, believe me
