    Question Vegas 7/8 pro HDV capture problem

    Hi.
    I have recently bought me a HV20! Love it. But...

    When I capture HDV footage Vegas (i have tried both 7e and 8 pro) the engine sometimes (at other times it works fine) makes unwanted "spilts" (new file) when its not supposed to. I tried the "vista movie maker" (which doesnt make any splits at all) it works fine. I dont have any problem s with SD-footage in Vegas either. Whats wrong, anyone? Settings?
    Is there a free alternative to vegas capuring engine, one that can split according to "scenes"?

    I tried changing my capturedisk from an e-sata drive to c: drive. Seems to work so far.
