Okay, i have some questions regarding the quality of footage when you upload/edit it on the computer.
I have a MacBook, and im using adobe premiere pro CS3, and i have a PAL HV20.
My setting on my camera is:
HDV (PF25)
and i use the Tv mode
and my COMP. OUT is 1080i
(this is what i recon is the best settings when i wan't the highest quality footage - tell me if i'm wrong here)
First of: when i make a new project in premiere, should i choose HDV 1080i25 (50i) og HDVi30 (60i)? im guessing it's the 1080i25 (50i) since im using HDV(PF25) on my cam... but then again, im not sure
Then i capture my footage and it'll be at a resolution of 1440*1080.
Now, here is my problem:
When I make, lets say a movie, I'll have some parts that I'll cut out and export so i can edit them in adobe after effects, and then I'll like to import them again onto the movie in premiere.
The problem is that when im exporting the video out of premiere it's loosing quality and resolution. I choose file>export>video and then settings. What should i choose for a compressor?
this is what i have to choose between:
and wht should i choose in pixel aspect ratio?
no matter what i choose, the frame size is still 720*576 - is it just OK to change it to 1440*1080, since i do not wan't to loose quality?
I have access to FCP 6, so if that'll produce better quality, then i'll use that. It's just that i would prefere using premiere, if it's the same, since that is what I'm used to.
I really hope someone can help me and at least answer some of my questions
Thanks, Andy
