This is fairly inexpensive, and much easier than dedicating an entire wall (and thereby, room) ...was thinking of covering my wall and floor & with either paint or wallpaper to greenscreen (can i use blue or red?) and does it have to be flat or can it be slightly walltextured? will that be noticable?
Chroma-Key Green Backdrop @ B & H Photo
thanks. im actually considering doing a whole room as a greenroom but im going to wait till i get into a bigger place i think and just do the entire living room. so the item you suggested should be nice till then.
any suggestions for the rolling tripod and lens filters for my camera? i mainly want them so my main camera lens stays clean while shooting.
and a wireless mic?
that car mount looks fun i think im going to make one to put on my brothers collection of 100,000$+ cars that he tears around in all the time.
One of the forum members, Ten Ounce, sells some accessories, including a tripod dolly. His website can be found >> Here <<. I've not ordered anything from him myself, but others seem to have good things to say.
yeah in my previous post i linked to that dolly ten ounce has listed as well. but nobody has commented on the quality of that one, nor of any other rolling tripod options available.
as a single man production do you think wireless mics are going to have issue if they are the only mics i have? or should i get both? is interferance and degradation of quality on decent wireless mics a big issue?
im going to make my own steady cam while im at it unless they can be had cheap.
Here's my prototype of a completely convertible dolly. It goes from linear, to free-floating to track with the addition of some simple accessories, but still folds up into a compact package. I'm in the process of sourcing some of the components to get the cost down and start production. Hopefully, I will be able to offer them for sale soon.

so basicly you have to settle for that mobile tripod deal i linked or build one yourself?
does anyone know about hoods for just the default lens?
I used a Bogen/Manfrotto flash bracket to attach a Bescor VIMA 325DF video light (uses 35 W to 300 W bulbs, either AC or DC). This bracket goes for about $60-70, but I get much usage out of it. With the bracket, you can put your boom mic on the camera when using the camera. If you don't need the light, you can distance your boom mike by mounting it on top of the bracket. The bracket gives me excellent control of my camera. I find a Kaiser ball & socket adapter (available at B&H) useful especially when mounting a mic.

Why buy a $150 converter for XLR to 3.5mm when they sell this?
I find these useful for many applications - get creative

I have both but I'm looking to sell my Raynox. I think you'll prefer the video the twoneil gives you over the raynox![]()
Life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. My Vimeo
They are for different purposes. I don't have the TwoNeil, I use the RNG35 DOF Adapter. I also use the Raynox Wide Angle and Telephoto converters. I mostly use the converters for corporate and sports video, and journalism. I use the RNG35 for more artistic things, and some beauty shots on the corporate and sports video.
i bought the raynox , thanks for the replies.
This is a great thread, although it might be a marketing ploy for b&h. Haha, if so, it worked!

I have a question.
Is there really any other reason to get a miniSD card (or microSD with miniSD adapter) other than to take stills?

Sup Guys and Gals:
It has been quite some time since my last post, my husband and I have been so busy with all of our video taking that I haven't had any chances to post.
Let me update, my husband thought that one camera wasn't enough for all our shoots for the church, we have since bought another camera (HV30) and have purchased so many new accessories.
One that we purchased was a juicedlink box, after reading so many reviews I just had to have one. I am now trying to figure out which DoF adapter to buy for both cameras, as well as lenses and rod supports. For the past few weeks I have been doing a lot of reading here. We'll be selling a lot of our stuff pretty soon, when all of our new stuff comes in, I'm not sure which items but I'll let you know. I'll have a new list of items that I have ordered for him soon, I promise.
Again, thank you all for helping me out with everything.
Jenn
PS: What happened to Taky? I don't see his name on here anymore.
Dana:
Thanks for the update...lol...I like that name!
