Finding Scenes on Tape
Hi, I apologize for having to post this but couldn't find the answer.
After I record a scene on the HV20, do I just have to rewind and guesstimate the spot where the footage I want to import starts? Or can the HV20 rewind to a certain spot where a scene starts? I know the end search feature, but is there a begin search feature?
I think I am possibly going to switch to the HG-10 if I constantly have to rewind and fast forward trying to find a scene as I'm not the type of shooter who will be shooting hours of footage, just clips here there.
Thanks in advance and sorry to post a newbie question.
Best,
Randal

I have been video-filming since 1991.
Ever since that time have I kept a log of the shootings I took. I write them down in a small booklet, that I keep in the camera bag. Of course I do not note all individual takes, but I limit this effort to the highlights. For instance, date, timecode of start and which item starts there.
Advantage is also, that you will be able to find back precious footage of years back.

Thanks for the reply! That's a great idea...
So, in other words, I cant just push a button to grab one scene like I could with the HG-10? I think the HG-10 is better for me. I'm a pro photographer and just want some behind the scenes footage.
Thanks again,
R
