Default Wanted IRV Focus Wheel V2

    Hey all.

If any one has an IRV Focus Wheel (preferably v2) for sale, let me know! I love the look of the HVFFs, but I don't think they'd work with my setup

If you're looking for an IRV, this is probably your best bet:

But at that price I'd go with the HVFF any day... and trust me they work with ANY setup.

    Thanks Almohada!

I saw that post, but it is a bit pricey, and version 1...

I do think that the HVFF would be nicer to use, but my setup really is pretty 'special'. I had to do the flip hack to use my camera with an underwater housing (which uses a mirror to see the display - without the flip hack the display is mirrored when the camera's in the housing) Unfortunately the microswitch broke off from the ribbon cable, so it's permanently stuck in 'flick hack mode'.

Because of all that, I had to build this mirror attachment so I can see the display the right way round when the camera is out of the housing - it works really well, but it takes up a lot of space next to the focus wheel (it's REALLY annoying to focus with this thing in the way!) IMAG0149.jpg

It looks to me like the large wheel of the HVFF and my mirror would get in the way of each other.

Ouch, yeah that is a special case where the HVFF will not work. Looks like the IRV will be better off in that situation. Probably way too expensive to fix that switch so I'm sure the IRV is the way to go on this one. They do pop up here once in a while so I'd say keep checking... sometimes folks end up starting a for sale thread not knowing there is someone out there looking for one.

I could offer my version 1 IRV for less based on your need, so please feel free to counter my price.

I know my price is high in my post but I have to start somewhere...

Awesome, thanks Almohada! I messaged Fade to Inferno just before I saw this post. If he doesn't get back to me, I'll definitely send you an offer TwoYearsBehind.

I just tried to PM you twice - but I didn't get a 'message sent' notice either time, and there's nothing in my sent items...? Hopefully they got to you. I'll definitely take the focus ring!
