Default Streaming with HV20 with lenovo y560 Laptop with usb 3.0

    Hi all

    Thanks for taking my question.

    I have a lenovo Y560 with 2630qm http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/c...1FBDB172571912

and i have just bought a Intensity from blackmagic... with a the usb 3.0 cable.

When I hook it up it say I need to reduce the bandwidth because i dont have enough ... port 1 10% port 2 10% .... I did read the it will only work on X58 motherboards too?

will this work? or is there a work around.

Is there any way to stream my daughter wedding with ustream?

Any help would be nice to get me going down the right path.....

    Thanks

    Chris

Does it have to be HD?

We do several upstreams a year in SD. We don't need that much bandwidth. However, we capture via FireWire from a switcher.

You could use the analog out to your capture card for SD and still record HD to tape.

No, that doesn't work. We only use firewire, because we are running our shows with Macs, and our software expects the signal from the F/W port. We go directly into the computer without capture cards. We did that before, but them MacPros (with AJA Kona cards) are a bit heavy to lug around to events.

You have the Blackmagic card already. That should do the trick. All you need to do is to connect your cam to it via the SD analog out.

Be sure you have all your drivers up to date, but I've read about plenty of compatibility issues regarding the USB3 Intensity shuttle.

Make sure that your USB 3.0 driver is also up to date. If it is not the Renasas driver, then it may not work. I have it working fine on a Lenovo Thinkpad W520.
