Question Wanted: Irv Design Manual Focus Ring for HV40 (Scrap Pile Labs, HV20, HV30, MFR, 2.0)

I am desperately seeking an Irv Design Manual Focus Ring for my HV40. I have a film competition quickly approaching and need the MFR to seriously compete with other competitors with more expensive cameras (and built-in focus rings).
I'm hoping someone out there has one of these, in like-new condition, and is willing to sell it for a fair price. Please reply here or private message me on this forum. Thanks guys.

    (HV20, HV30, Scrap Pile Labs, 1.0, 2.0)

MrMicah, heaps of thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately I don't think the first one is still available and the second option wouldn't work with the lenses and rigs I use.
Thanks for taking the time to mention those threads though! I am hopeful I'll find an Irv MFR.
Great to see an Aussie on the forum mate! Kiwi here, but in the US for the "winter."

I used to build the HVFF. It fits perfectly and anything can be mounted onto the HV

The IRV ring doesn't seem to be available, unless used, anywhere. As Almo suggested (quite subtly) the HVFF is another good option to consider:
I DO IT BECAUSE I CAN. I CAN BECAUSE I WANT TO. I WANT TO BECAUSE YOU SAID I COULDN'T.

And there I was thinking I had misunderstood the requirements or the capacity of the HVFF.

It was a bit of an ambiguous response Almo.

In order to use the HVFF, I would need to buy a step up ring and a step (back) down ring to mount my 43mm lenses ay? I thought that the lenses, especially the Canon-HV-specific WD-H43 and TL-H43 that I have, were meant to (and work best optically with the amount of space) sit flush with the camera?

The step-up / step-down solution works OR simply just a UV filter. That little space (especially the UV) shouldn't effect anything. I've tried many combinations as well as with a Raynox wide angle and did not see anything wrong or vignetting. Since your competition is quickly approaching this is probably the best route. Probably very hard to find an Irv nowadays and plus, this is a REAL follow focus... knob is parallel to the camera. Irv is a focus RING.

Anyways, if you have any more detailed questions let me know or PM darthpaully.
