    Default Vimeo goes mobile

    Just found vimeo's iPhone/iPad app.

Besides the features we all know from their website, they also included a complete set of filmmakers' tools. You can shoot, edit and upload without ever leaving the app.

I think I'll produce a shaky iPad movie somewhen these days...

The iPad cam isn't that bad, btw... Just haven't found a way yet to mount it on a tripod... Hm, duct tape?

    Oh, the pain, the pain!

(Trivia question: Who said that? )

Maybe, but that's not what I thought of!

    Try again... "Never fear..." etc.

No, I'm saying that the android app has bugs that won't allow me to play any videos. I downloaded it the moment you linked me to it... it doesn't seem to work. According to the Play Store (formally The Android Market) a lot of people are having playback issues.

Not trolling, just stating it didn't work for me (and its buggy). YMMV.

    Get an iPad

It works fine on iOS. The only issue I have is the general vimeo issue that it's slower than YT with our third world Internet speed (we are slower than Afghanistan)

I bought my LG Optimus Spirit for about $50 as an update from my really old Samsung flip-phone. I spend my money on camera equipment, not flattened iPhones :P

That said, the iPhone I had for a little while was an alright little phone. The only issue I had was the wireless controller within the phone had died. Regular problems with iPhone 3G apparently...

    I wouldn't know. I don't care for "smart" phones.

F*@K VIMEO!!!! They changed their F'n layout!!!!!!! Soooo annoying!!!! I can't even get to a users other videos without having to click on their page, just like youtube!!! WHAT THE HELLL?>???? I used to be able to see their videos on the right side, now they made their player HUGE (which also LAGS my computer)... just like youtube, I cannot see their other videos anymore. COME ON. WHY take that simple function out? It is pretty much a necessity. Absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who do not believe me, check out this screenshot... that little button above the video... COMPLETELY WIPED OFF THE FACE OF YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! I am so pissed off, if I stumble upon a video I really like, I want to see more from that user. Now they make me click on their page???? and get bombarded with more advertisements??? And all the crap on their page such as their recent activity? NO I'd like to see a list of their videos which I can access from the original page. Why is it that hard??????? It was there before... It was there 5 years ago... why take it off now???? So frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable YouTube... Shame on Youtube!!!! Shame on YOU-tube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody's had too much coffee. I am going to test out the vimeo app on my ipad.... I think I'm going to make a simple landscape/architecture video and test it out today. I notice they allow transitions and effects, I can't wait.
