Default Cheap ND variable filter slight blue tinge fix?

Hey guys, bought a cheap variable nd filter and because i like the cinema profile, the cheap filter neewer nd, has a slight blue tinge on the blacks and the outline of green trees? Any fix other than going the other way opposite to blue on the colour wheel? Also tomorow got a shoot and going to be bright outside and want to work at f2.8/4 for a decent look behind the b+g.. Can i shift the blues in camera 60d canon or not as i cannot find a shift but you can taking photos...

How much is cheap on that variable filter?

But yeah, a small correction color filter might be your best bet. That or try correcting in post, although the later might give some odd results..

1, it was from amazon neewer nd filter variable, think it was £15... 72mm. its ok for the price but as i say just a little tiny tinge of blue, then again the cinema profile does give that cool look, its not bad but just to be safe? Any colour filter you know of? In post i think i can maybe push the blue part of the wheel in adobe to the opposite way to the blue that might do it?

A hint of orange.....1/8 CTO might do it.

But with all that funny color and filters in front of the lens, I'm sure NOTHING will be right.

In the end, I'd get better ND filters, or do it in post.

Cheers 1.. Your right i think the heliopan for £180 or the light craft nd variable £90, heliopan soiunds best as the light craft reports a colour shift now and again, but the heliopan everyone says the best...

Interestingly, I saw a NISI variable ND filter at a recent photo/video exhibition in Beijing.
Well made, and something like U$80.00 wholesale. Maybe I should sell them too, in the hv20.com shop?

Look at it this way. Now you have a filter to shoot day for night.

I would buy them in bulk, and sell them on hv20.com.

    $100 I reckon.

Sounds good but you need to check them over and make sure no colour shifts

    Steve,

Check this stillmotion tutorial : http://vimeo.com/28669523.
You want to check the part that starts at 2:34 : white balance shift.
