surveillance footage.. time passage

I need to make some footage appear to have passed for several hours..

I know how to do time code in premiere.. but I want to be able to do this without actually creating say 6 hrs of footage... any suggestions?

What's supposed to be in the scene? Walking around, sleeping...?
I'd say, record short segment. Take some stills to put between segments, add the B&W/Grain effect to it and in AE Shaun would be able to add some flicker effect (to mimic the lighting change) using The Wiggler (or using expression like "wiggle(3,5)" - first value to be the amount of changes within a second and the later to set the amount of the effect to be applied).
Short segment videos, stills (like 4-5 position in the bed when sleeping to show that there's movement) and it should sell the effect I guess. That's based on a night watch security camera, but you can apply it to another situation.

Are you referring to time compression? If so, there are many way to give that illusion. The simplest way I know of is simply by using the speeding clock. Is that what you mean?

There's also the slow dissolve. You can also use lighting, especially if its outdoors. And the cut away can also be convincing but may require a bit more set up work.
