    Default vegas pro rendering help

    ok heres my problem when i render the video file i get this line like it shows in this image 2.jpg but it only happens with the 1 video clip all the other ones that are set up the same way and i don't get the line.here is a still shot of the video on the time line it doesn't get the line 1.jpg any idea why this is happening?? all the video looks fine when i render but that one clip. i also cropped the clip and still the same problem.

    Not The Black Horizontal Line But The White Vertical Line

    Not really, but if you are downsizing the footage my first theory would be it's a downrezzing artifact. Have you tried rendering an excerpt with a different codec?

    its sd footage and im rendering it as a 1080 60i upvert using the cineform codec but it happens when rendering it in sd too

    Soften the matte line by one pixel.

    I think he means the point of transition?

    In any event, the soften pixel may effectively blur the visibility of the line. I'm not too familiar with this procedure so I'm just guessing, but it may have to do with the inclusion of the alpha channel and the way its blended?

    In FCE, you can make the matte line soft, by x pixels. That took care of a similar "visible" matte line, for me.

    Feathering with a mask works well. The feathering on this one is pretty thick. You can see the fade when seeing the parts.

    i actually finished it off but thanx for the help guys i can use that info on a future project.

    i was just touching up some of the stuff i wasn't happy with in my 1st short. wanted it to add my better Grindhouse process to it and fix the text. heres a link below

    Not really sure what to make of it but it could maybe stand for a bit more editing? Also a tad more dialog might help move the story along as well. One more thing, I kept expecting Shaft to show up but he never did.
