I've had an HF S20 for a while, and earlier this year picked up an HF G10. Both fine cameras, but I've got to say I really love the HF G10. I shoot 3 camera set-ups in a poorly lit church and the greater light sensitivity of the HF G10 is very welcome. My third camera has been an HV30, but I wanted to get away from tape. So, with my eye on the light sensitivity of the HF G10, I ordered an HF M52 with the same sensor as the G10. Just got it and darn! A different battery format again. Now I need a couple BP 727 batteries and a charger for them. As far as I can tell there are no decoded after market products available. Is that the case? Any opinions on whether it's likely that such decoded batteries will appear on the market? In fact, I'll use this camera in a fixed position and can power it from the AC line, but I'd like the flexibility of using it battery powered as well. Since I bought decoded batteries for the G10, I've come to the conclusion that "decoded" is worthwhile. Yeah, I know, I should have bought another G10, but at a little more than 1/2 the price, the M52 should still do the job for me.
