Default Soderbergh's Haywire - Image Quality Issue?

Just watched it earlier this week. I was optimistic about Soderbergh using a RED to shoot it, but I've been a bit disappointed by the quality of some shots:

(These are actual screenshots of the bluray disc playing on my PC, 1920x1080 & saved as .png)
It only appears in the dark scenes, like some vertical lines. It is mostly apparent in the video more than on the stills, but it's still there and I've found it a little disturbing (even on the first watch). Anyone else noticed it?
What could be at the origin of that problem?

I thought about it, but I read the review on blu-ray.com.

Did a test and I've encoded a small clip of the movie where the bars were visible and at 720p they're practically not visible.
So I don't think the encoding is the problem, but more the resolution...anyway.

That doesn't solve the whole cinematography problem: vignetting (slight & subtle but still), overexposed in bright areas, strong yellow tint (at least it's not teal&orange!)...that, and the editing/music that completes the whole thing.
It's a nice little spy movie, but "strangely" done.

Could be compression issues? But really the problem could be anywhere down the line. Too bad you don't have the specification for these things. there is also the chance it could be in your playback system or just a bad or rip off disc?

From the BD itself? It could, but I doubt. I've ripped it off to 720p and it was looking better. The rip was looking better than the original. And both on my computer and TV the problem remains the same...I simply don't know...

As do I, but it is possible. Not all (blu-ray) discs are created equally.
