    I think I'd have to agree with you on that. And for someone like me, who hardly ever shoots any footage, even I can see the difference.

    And now that I'm a little more coherent, and my daily regimen of pain killers and various other fun drugs to survive the day hasn't kicked in, it's time to read this thread. Was always curious about a DOF adapter without a focusing screen. This is inspiring.

    I don't think the era is completely over...It's more like 8mm or 16mm nowadays: It's not a dead format, you simply use it if it suits your needs.
