Default Game #414 - Walt & El Grupo

    Game version 1
    One picture from one movie:

    Rule 1:
NO IMAGE HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Images for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server.

    Rule 2:
TWO GUESSES PER PERSON PER POSTED PICTURE!!! Those two guesses are not allowed to be in the same post, NOR in a consecutive post. I.e. you can post one guess, then have to wait for someone else to guess: your second guess is not allowed to be immediately following your first guess.

    Rule 3:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).

    Rule 4:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name into the thread (spelled correctly, and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

    Rule 5:
The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number.
    Example: " Game #12" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)

    Rule 6:
The film selected should be one that has had an international, theatrical release.
I.e. a made-for-TV movie only shown in the USA would hardly be a fair entry, as
    we have international players also.

    Rule 7:
These complete rules (1 to 7) have to be copy & pasted into each new game's first post.

This one will be a little trickier... but clues may/will follow if needed...

Sandman is beckoning, so a little clue: A relatively recent US film. (Not even a full decade ago... )

    Something about it looks documentaryish.

    Spellbound (2002)?

Here's a new grab - still teasing you, the next one will actually give you some info...

And no, not Spellbound. But a critic did say: "captivating audiences both young and old" - hey, that was a clue...

Time for another screenshot, and a couple of clues: The film lasts a bit less than two hours. Three languages are spoken.

No players here? Or still too hard to guess?

Well, not for Ugarte... he PMd me the correct answer. It is a documentary, as he mentiened above. But which? Scrutinize the clues!

    This should also help:

    Definitely no players!

Here are two screenshots - now, if you read this, and don't get it, you're either very, very lazy, or just can't put two and two together...

Nope. It's not "Frank & Ollie".

    Try again...

Well, I've seen a doco on the making of Fantasia, (the original), but none of those frames ring any bells.

It can't be this hard... Ugarte got it after post #6...

Here are two more screenshots, and a clue: Directed by the son of Frank Thomas!

    Correct!

Walt & El Grupo (spelled with an ampersand instead of and...)

Whew! That took longer than I could ever have expected - OTOH, only 3 players...

The last hint narrowed it down quite a bit.

    Yes, indeed...

According to IMDB, Ted has directed only 4 films, and only this one is less than 10 years ago...
