how do i get the best quality

i have successfully edited my first hd movie and sent the competed movie back to the camera all thanks to your help on here my next question is how do i make the best dvd copy i have tried rendering the hd movie on the timeline to mpeg 2 using dvd architect but i end up with black border all round on the dvd. help would be much appreciated again thanks

Hmmm, I am not sure....I hope someone with more skills comes alongs and helps you out. I'm new, so I don't know much about all of this. I use a film editing program called VideoPad and it doesn't seem to have black borders except for on my intro which is just the way I made it I think.

You need to describe that in more detail. Or better yet, upload it to youtube and post of link of your results. I suspect you're referring to letterboxing?

Looks like you have both letter- and pillarboxing. You need to render 16:9 and make the DVD 16:9, too...
