That was pretty good. Sick editing. Those cuts were like 0.5 seconds in average! Must've been a lot of work.

Hey, this is great. Please export in 720p on Vimeo so we can enjoy it in HD easier than using quicktime!!!

Man...that was the best video I've seen so far with the HV20. ..and let me tell there were some good ones. It might be your first time with the HV20 but you certainly know what you are doing...great job.

    Great Video!

What was the set up you were using?

It looked like you had a 35mm adapter?

    Awesome Job!

that was pretty good what did you use to edit?

    Default Hey...

Hey guys, glad you dug it.

As far as the camera rig/setup, all I added was a wide-angle lense - no adapter (wish I had one). All shot handheld. For the scenes with the 'ring' effect - we shoot through a black plastic tube to cut the light. Most of the video was shot at night, lit with a single beauty dish.

The grain in a few scenes came naturally as I played with he shutter speeds in real time as we shot. Focus effects just came from moving from manual/auto.

We had about 2.5 hours of footage, lot's of editing - I'll see if I can upload a 720 version for you guys to check out.

I really had to do little adjustment to the camera.

Wow, I can't imagine the editing time that took. Great video and really nifty song. Is that your band too or did you just shoot the video? You should try to get that song on XM Radio. (XM 81 would be perfect!) I can't wait to see future videos from you, keep up the good work!!

    Default Hey...

Editing was 'fun' to say the least...the track is by a friend of ours who DJ's out in LA - he was in town, and we'd thought it would be a good idea to put the new camera through it's paces.

    My typical Tuesday night... j/k.

Hip-notizing. Nice pacing for the song, great shots, captured the mood perfectly.

First off awesome video gotta love the HV20. Sorry for my ignorance but what is a beauty dish, is it that light you showed in your vid towards the end, looks like standard photography light and if so what diameter is it really love the eyelight it gives off.
    thanks mate

    Superb! Brilliantly cut, too.

And great black and white contrast to the footage. Was that done in Final Cut? If so, how!!?

Hey loved that video - Do you think spider would mind if I used that song on a Rollerblading DVD Im thinking of making? He'd be fully credited, advertised and plug what ever needs plugging. I'm hoping the DVD will have around 500 copies made and sold, I know that it would be great advertising for him, as people who watch these videos, tend to go out and purchase more stuff by the artists featured.

Email me on contrastskw@aol.com if you think he'd be interested. Great video!
