Camera Sync For Multicam Wedding

OK. I'm one of three videographers assigned to shoot a 3 day wedding in June.
I've got an HV20 and Panasonic GH-2 (no hack yet)
The other shooters are working with GH-2's and a Panasonic AF100.
The client wants a vintage look so I reckoned 24p would be a good place to start. But We may want some slower motion sequences.
Can anyone with Wedding vid experience and these cameras suggest:
- The most flexible shutter setting for the HV20 & GH-2 to sync them up in post?
- Does 60i down-convert to 24p?

You give them folks 30p. I don't think they'll see a difference. Rather work with colors to give it the needed look.
