Default Game #409 - The Glass Bottom Boat

    Game version 1
    One picture from one movie:

    Rule 1:
NO IMAGE HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Images for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server.

    Rule 2:
TWO GUESSES PER PERSON PER POSTED PICTURE!!! Those two guesses are not allowed to be in the same post, NOR in a consecutive post. I.e. you can post one guess, then have to wait for someone else to guess: your second guess is not allowed to be immediately following your first guess.

    Rule 3:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).

    Rule 4:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name into the thread (spelled correctly, and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

    Rule 5:
The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number.
    Example: " Game #12" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)

    Rule 6:
The film selected should be one that has had an international, theatrical release.
I.e. a made-for-TV movie only shown in the USA would hardly be a fair entry, as
    we have international players also.

    Rule 7:
These complete rules (1 to 7) have to be copy & pasted into each new game's first post.

Since Al hasn't delivered, I'll post something in the meantime...

This will probably be a quickie... or was? Looks like it...

Gah!!!!!! I'm into my project and completely forgot. Oh well, take it away.

And, I have no idea what this could be. Looks like a Pink Panther flick to me!

OK, here is the next grab - and a clue:

The director of this movie was "multi-talented" - whatever that means...

Kissing - yes, but banging? Not in a PG rated flick... Hey! That was a clue!

    No Rowan here...

    Krute got it! Well done!

The Glass Bottom Boat it is; with Doris Day and Rod Taylor getting top billing. (A romantic comedy, "sophomoric" according to one critic...

Directed by Frank Tashlin, an American animator, screenwriter, and film director.

Rod being an Aussie obviously made it easy for Krute, I'll have to watch out for actor/actress nationalities in the future...

Nope. Wasn't my main man Rod that tipped me off.

I picked Paul Lynde right away, and then just searched for movies in which he played an official with a uniform -and in which Rod Taylor starred as well.

I think Rod Taylor is/was the most under-used actor in Hollywood. He was/is a rugged Australian male with a rugged Australian "colonial" demeanour, but they put him in lightweight frothy romantic comedies!!! Unbelievable.

To me, he'll always be Glenn Evans and he'll alwys be driving that white Sunbeam Alpine convertible around the streets of "Hong Kong". But of course he had to travel in his beautiful Time Machine to get to the 60s so that he could get that role...

Going back a bit now, but I also remember him on the radio in the 50s, as the voice of Tarzan.

I'll try to get a new game up as soon as I can - unless anyone else wants to jump in straight away?
