Thread: My HV40 commercial!

    Default My HV40 commercial!

Hi! First time to post here. I just wanted to share with you a small ad I made to sell my HV40, which ended up being a sort of tribute to it and made me regret even more the fact that I was selling it... Kinda nostalgic. But anyways, here goes:

In the video I try to emphasize the camera's most important features while showing you exactly what it's capable of through a bunch of footage I myself shot with it. I thought it would be better for the potential buyers to see real footage shot with the HV40, something that they could do too given the circumstance. I mean, you can get its specifications and photographs anywhere, but it's good footage that's lacking and can show you its true potential (I know, that's being modest! but I mean, I've always found it hard to stumble upon material that's not amateur for any camera I'm interested in -I tend not to have the biggest budget to buy them...-; it's cool to see footage shot in the right conditions to see what the camera is really capable of). So, yeah, that's why I made this video and here it is! Please tell me what you think! Thanks!

Hey, it's you! I remember you commenting on my video! :P

Thanks, I just thought in this forum I would find people who shared the love I have for these cameras, and might want to watch this.

By the way, I've watched some of your videos, and it's really nice to see what a good footage you get out of it.

Great little collection of works! Good job! I loved the Beagle... have had 3 in my life (Not counting that one of our beagles had 3 puppies!!)

Thanks, guys. This actually made a nice base for a reel I never got to do. Maybe now I that I have most of the work done I can add my DSLR stuff and get the reel out!

MLBuckProductions, I don't have a Beagle myself, that one is my girlfriend's, I have a normal, non-pedigree dog that (funny enough) has all the Beagle colors and is called Corcho. But as soon as I can I'll get him an English cousin. In the meantime, I'm planning on shooting his biography and showcasing his only ability: sitting on his butt like a kangaroo.

And by the way, the commercial worked great! I sold the camera in week to a person who contacted me the very next day I posted the ad and I even got two jobs out of it. Facebook works sometimes.

Are you sure you're only trying to sell your camera and not the whole Canon lineup???? They should pay you for this. GREAT WORK!!!!!!!

hahaha Thanks! Many friends actually told me I should work for Canon, because all through 4 years I made five or six people buy the HV20, 30 and 40. I was very good at pointing it's strengths and selling them very well.
Now, although I was very fond of their DSLR line, I have turned to Panasonic by getting the GH2, which arrived around two weeks ago. I arrived kinda late to the party, but I've just recently discovered it and it blew me away. I'm now very happy with that decision.
And guess what: I've already made one person buy the GH2! I suppose that'll be the first of many :P
