    Default Low budget Straitjacket ideas?

    Hey guys;

    I got a shoot next month which will be shot in an old jail, I'd like to get my hands on a straitjacket as a prop.

    Unfortunately, as I'm not being paid for this video (I'm doing it as a favour), I need to do this the extreme low budget way. What kind of clothing out there can I easily get ahold of that is cheap, and will sell the effect and idea of a straitjacket?

    I can buy these things on eBay, several costume shops sell it as well... but they all want some rediculous prices (some in the hundreds of dollars).

    Any ideas?

    Try to find an old sweater and "glue" some straps on it. There's glue for clothing, it could work, if you don't know anyone that could sew it. Buy some nylon straps and it could do the trick easily, especially for free. That's what I'd do.
    I DO IT BECAUSE I CAN. I CAN BECAUSE I WANT TO. I WANT TO BECAUSE YOU SAID I COULDN'T.

    My thought would be the local Op Shop for old brown belts and some white overalls that could be cut into a jacket. Or, a cleverly diguised chef's jacket (on in reverse) with some cut up old belts glued on with ADOS F2.

    Thanks guys, this info is very much appreciated. I've got a little over a month to get it sorted, so I'll set some time to go raid the local op shop for belts. The shirts are cheap as well.

    Thanks again!
