    Default Game #402 (v3)

    Game version 3
Only an audio clip from one movie:

    Guidelines:
The basic criteria of this version is to select audio that is unique to the film you're presenting.
We shouldn't post clips of something that could have come from hundreds of other films.
The trick in this game is to pick a clip that is very unlikely to appear in any other film,
while at the same time is not a dead giveaway, (like eg, Schwarzenegger's "I'll be back!")
    (© Krute & MAL)

    Rule I:
NO AUDIO HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Audio for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server, as MP3 files.
The audio should be lifted DIRECTLY from the movie, and NOT ALTERED - only thing allowed is fade-in
    and fade-out.

    Rule II:
ONLY ONE GUESS PER PERSON PER AUDIO FILE!

    Rule III:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).
Game type one or two, three or four can be started.

    Rule IV:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name of all movies into the thread (spelled correctly,
and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

    Rule V:
    The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number / "(v3)"
    Example: " Game #212 (v3)" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)
"v3" denotes version three, for version one, there needs to be no version number.

    Rule VI:
The audio should be lifted DIRECTLY from the movie, and NOT ALTERED - only thing allowed is fade-in
    and fade-out.

    Rule VII:
The film selected should be one that has had an international, theatrical release.
I.e. a made-for-TV movie only shown in the USA would hardly be a fair entry, as
    we have international players also.

    Rule VIII:
These complete rules (I to VIII and Guidelines), have to be copy & pasted into each new game's first post.

Hmm, I could have sworn one of those guys spoke similar lines in a TV show once....

So that just leaves about 30 movies it could be.

I'll go with a hunch and say "Whispers in the Dark". Because it sounds, y'know, like they're, y'know, whispering...er... in the dark....

But mostly because I think I know the first voice.

Just goes to how how difficult v3 is to select.

None are right so far, but I thought it was way too easy (of course, I am SEEING what the recording is of, so it's hard to be objective!!)

I'm at work right now, so it'll have to wait at least 5 hours for another sample...

But that first voice is who I think it is, right? And I know you know who I think it is...

His name is like someone who has a drinking problem, correct?

Does this version allow for the host naming the actors if we guess their names, Mal? Because most distinctive actors have done scores of films.

    Just a thought.

New file (if you've seen it, you'll know it....at this point it may be the game's best hope that no one here has seen it?):

A thought: since this version depends on us recognising the voice, will the host confirm/deny if one of us guesses who the actor/s are?

And I was going to arge the point that, if we guess the name behind the voice, that doesn't necessarily give the game away, since most well-known actors have scores of films to their credit.

But then Janke has just shown that you don't need to recognise the actor anyway.

Well, all I can say is, that's amazing, Mister J!

And I thought I heard Brad Pitt. Now that I listen again it's obviously Johnny Depp.

Janke is on fire! That's three in a row -- and all with a bare minimum of clues.
