Site was down for some hours, for unknown reasons. (***)
Everything seemed to check out okay.
I have a suspicion that godaddy doesn't handle DNS requests very well. (***)
(Site is registered with godaddy, and hosted with dreamhost.)

Okay, it has just been confirmed that the culprit was a load error on the dreamhost server.

Good to see, bud. I think what happened was one of the technicians at Godaddy was working the night shift and accidentally did missionary on the grid with the girl he snuck in. It happens.

Yup it wouldn't open for me either. It lasted at least a good 3 to 4 hours. I had nothing to do during that boring class!

Yeah.....maybe it's time run this thing on my own SME Server....since I successfully did it on a smaller scale already.
Not sure a vbulletin would run on it though....must check into that.
Other problem is a power outage in the only area I still have access to high speed internet.
We sometimes have outages of days, whereas my UPS can only handle maybe 8 or so hours....
Also there's be no one to reset it, if it should go down. It would have to pretty much run unattended with remote access only.
