    Default Game #392 - Untraceable

    Game version 1
    One picture from one movie:

    Rule 1:
NO IMAGE HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Images for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server.

    Rule 2:
TWO GUESSES PER PERSON PER POSTED PICTURE!!! Those two guesses are not allowed to be in the same post, NOR in a consecutive post. I.e. you can post one guess, then have to wait for someone else to guess: your second guess is not allowed to be immediately following your first guess.

    Rule 3:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).

    Rule 4:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name into the thread (spelled correctly, and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

    Rule 5:
The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number.
    Example: " Game #12" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)

    Rule 6:
The film selected should be one that has had an international, theatrical release.
I.e. a made-for-TV movie only shown in the USA would hardly be a fair entry, as
    we have international players also.

    Rule 7:
These complete rules (1 to 7) have to be copy & pasted into each new game's first post.

Let's see what you can get from this (just a teaser, but any guess is a good guess at this point... )

I'll be back - in the EU morning.

    Nope.

A clue: This movie won a rather unusual award - one I don't think has ever been mentioned on these pages.

Here's the lead player (Oscar-nominated, but not for this movie):

A bit more mundane than that.

    Of the game?

I'm going to post some better grabs soon*, I usually just tease with the first couple...

*in fact, immediately - this one should give a hint about the genre:

    Not of the game, no!

I was tired when I posted that bit of silliness, though.

    Profile looks like Tom Cruise....

Here's a crucial clue: This film is rated R in the USA.

Last screenshot for tonight, and a clue: This movie grossed only about 50% more than its production costs, thus it was no real success.

IMDB says it was shot on 35mm film.

Next screenshot, and another clue: This film has a very low Critic's rating on Rotten Tomatoes - the audience percentage is 3.5 times better!

    Al, your math is off - 3.5 times 26 isn't 53...

I can't, for the life of me, make out what the pic in #10 is!

Looks like halfway through a wipe transition. But you wouldn't do that to us, Mister J! So, it must be a reflection or a shot looking through a glass or something...

    Or am I going cross-eyed...?

Last grab for today, and a clue: The director is better known for his TV work, having won multiple Emmys.

Back in the EU morning, with easier screenshots, if this doesn't help...
