And the same can be said for some, the other way around. For what it's worth though, I'm in complete agreement with Gillvane. One of the things which keeps me away from Apple is the 'Apple way or no way' ideology which is so deeply engrained in the company.

I see this as deflection. If you don't want to discuss the issue, you don't. Your opinions about teenagers or grammar are off topic IMO. A request for clarification would have been more conducive to discussion. You could have said, didn't you mean you "don't" use Apple products?

I was glad when Davinci Resolve released for the PC and Adobe released CS5.5 which many people like over the latest FCP release.
There's nothing you can do on a Mac you can't do on a PC, so the choice is open or closed system. I like open, you like closed.
It's great there's a market choice for both of us.
I'm looking at Red the same way. They have proprietary media, batteries, that are WAY more expensive than most other products. But if you buy a Red camera, you need their batteries, their media. If it weren't for adobe cs 5.5 you'd need a red rocket card (I"m sure Red isn't happy about that).
Compare that to the Digital Bolex in the works, which will use off the shelf media cards.
I prefer the off the shelf media cards. It's a more open system, and that sort of product appeals to me much more.

I didn't know you had to do a google search in order to replace a battery. I did hear something about PAYING Apple to replace the battery in the beginning of the video. Is this an Apple thing?
BTW.... does opening it up on your own void any warranties?

Interesting you bring that up. Our local TV news station (CTV) just did a poll on how many own a tablet. Out of the 3300 who phoned in, only 18% own a tablet. of some kind.
