    Default Removing a person....

Removing a person* is not that hard, three mask-levels of time-shifted background helped me remove a person walking behind my interview subjects (footage not yet color corrected):

You can still see a slight wiggle of the matte line on the persons' shoulders, but I didn't have to make this perfect - it was just for a documentary...

Here's how it looked on the timeline in FCE (note the masked part in the viewer, top right) :

    * Essentially making him a non-person, as in Stalinist Russia: Censorship of images in the Soviet Union

That's it! It's really well done. I'd like to learn more about that.

That's, like Taky said, the most scary part: it's too well done!
I DO IT BECAUSE I CAN. I CAN BECAUSE I WANT TO. I WANT TO BECAUSE YOU SAID I COULDN'T.

Thanks ! The flaw is there - but you have to look close.

(Had this been for a feature film, I'd have spent more than the hour or so I did, to really make it flawless...)

Well, if you want to try something like it, you'll just have to experiment - like I did. Take a piece of clean background, and make a frame-by-frame moving matte of it.

It is pretty simple to do with bezier mattes, but tedious.
If you have AE CS5 and above, you can create unpersons with the the Roto Brush. Treatment of the background is the same.
