Leo,
Good clip but a little washed out. If you use the .MP4 compression (h.264) then you have to add some color correction or your clips will look flat a dull. You really loose the puch to the color when you use h.264. That is one of the main drawbacks to it. But it can be fixed. Thanks for sharing.
Leo,
I use WMV V9 in Vegas 7 for fast renders (when I don't want to wait). For my good stuff I like to use the Main Concepts AVC/AAC (which is h.264 compression). The h.264 is very slow and it washes out the video. So before I render it I apply a Color Corrector in Vegas (Studio RGB to Computer RGB) and it fixes the wash out. I then have to wait an hour to render a 1 minute clip. In the end I like both WMV and h.264. The settings for both are overwhelming but play around with them and remember you can save custom render profiles in Vegas so you don't have to remember what you did last time. I hope this helps.

i am not sure what you are using to encode, but i encode all my clips to h264 mov quicktime files (but on a pc) and they look the exact same as they do in my editing program (premiere pro) so i am not sure what you are talking about. you must be using pinnacle, vegas, avid, or another similar piece of cheap software if you are getting dissimilar exports.

Tell you what it doesn't look too washed out on my tv. Really nice
Though I'm wondering why when you go right up to the flowers its blurred, but your hand isn't?
Cheers
John,
I am trying to figure out why the flower is blurry, it could my hand is stationary and the flower is slightly moving by a breeze. A tripod will probably help. I do noticed the HV20 keep on trying to focus as I move the camera around the flower. Still experimenting, so much to read, so much fun and so time consuming.
