That's "the remainder" of the Christmas consumables", of course...

We need to get this game to end - it's been on for almost five days now.

You just need to pin down #3, and you're done...

Here's a new set of screenshots; if no-one else cares to guess, Krute will most certainly take it...

The clue is slightly more convoluted than that...

Gosh, I hope nobody's waiting for me to make another guess!

I thought I had Janke's clue squared away, but I was wrong.

    It's still a mystery....

Whew - and with all those clues - looks like I have to spell it out - hoping you have keen eyesight... :

Spell, incantation, magic... none of them will help me, Mister J. I'm almost positive this is a film I've never seen. It's a foreign language film, yes? I'm hopeless at those.

Even the clues, juicy though they are, haven't helped me.

And much as I hate to admit it, I'm not really putting the effort into hunting down the clues, either. Maybe it's post-season lethargy or something... or an extended hangover...

    Sorry, J.

Anyway, where are our whiz kids? Ugarte or Jako deserve this one.

Ugarte probably got it from the first stills.

No, not even from the first four stills, and he has been absent since...

But hey, this should be a piece of cake, by now! I don't want this to be another #260... (Nothing personal, just so you know... )

    Where is everybody?

All the provided clues should be enough to decipher #3. To reiterate, and even expand these clues:

    - an episodic film, working on two timelines
    - Multi-Oscar-winning director (five Oscars, in fact)
    - it was entered, but not accepted as a nominee for an Oscar, the same year as a film known for its "discreet charm" won.
    - the language should be obvious from post #32
    - you can even read the fuzzy name of the movie in one of the screenshots!

If that is not enough, I give up!

    Sunset Boulevard
    The Mummy 1999
    Fellini's Roma.
    Wild Wild West
    King Solomon's Mines 1985

Finally, eventually, at last, thank goodness - Krute got them all:

    Sunset Boulevard
    The Mummy 1999
    Fellini's Roma
    Wild Wild West
    King Solomon's Mines 1985

Hard to imagine how difficult #3 turned out to be - or was it that the people usually playing didn't turn out?

    Over to you, Krute!

(PS: Personally, I like Fellini's "La Strada" a lot more than "Roma", which is an incoherent, no-plot semi-autobiography...)

Aw, shucks, Mister J, I really only got two of them.

And I think I only got the third one because (a) Ugarte is MIA, and (b) you gave such marvelous clues - (I did use my peepers to find the word "Roma" on the car.)

You know what, Janke? Since very few people participated in this one, and yet you still took the trouble to put your usual 100% effort into it and made it a good, solid game, I reckon you deserve to have another go.

    Over to you, Mister J?

No thanks, I'd rather not do consecutive ones.

If you don't want to host one, then it's a FREE FOR ALL, now! (Shall we expect another #260... this game was almost one... )

I guess he is OK, since he's been active on other subforums - maybe he just forgot us?

But if Al can't do a game at the moment, let me know, I do have one in stock...

Sorry everyone, I completely forgot about this. As much as I'd love to do a game, I can't do one at the moment as I'm on my phone. Don't want to delay it any longer so someone go for it.

OK, since I have one in stock, then - against my principles - a consecutive "Janke v.2" is coming up...
