Default Is an HV10 worth $260?

I wanted to get a camera dedicated to just capturig footage and came across this:

    Canon HV10 3.1MP High-Definition MiniDV Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom - $259

    anon HV10 3.1MP High-Definition MiniDV Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom - $259

I've seen HV30s for $300, so I'd rather get that...but if I can talk this seller down to $200 or so, I'd go for the HV10...I should have problems capturing HV30 footage with it right?

I second the mouse killer here, the HVxx worth the price you can pay for them. Paid my HV40 1135$ back in 2009 and it still worth every cent paid for. It's a "killer-camcorder" for all the functions/modes and the quality it produce.
If it's simply to capture your tapes to the computer, then any HDV camcorser (lower model) could do the job.

There's an HV20 on the forum going for $250...

Looks like at least about 20 tapes were run through it.

I read this thinking Canon HF10 and wondering why everybody was trashing it. Then I remembered that there was a camera called the HV10 before the HV20. Hell no it's not worth $260!
