    UPDATE FROM THE ORIGINAL POST-

Guess what showed up today? The FIRST package I sent, dated October 11, 2011! The package is is still in good shape, although it does look like it's been around the world and back!

So that means all is good because I got payed for my services, he got his HVFF kit, and I got my lost inventory back! All I'm out is the shipping, which I can deal with.

Interesting that it took nearly 5 full months to get it back- Better late than never! I feel a lot more confident about International shipping after this. It's tough when it takes that long because it makes you think nobody cares and you are all but helpless.

Anyway, I hope this situation ending in the best possible scenario gives some hope to others.

I swear I would have bet $100 that original package (which had the wrong address) was never coming back, LOL! Lucky I'm not a betting man!

LOL don't worry Almo... It was an "inside" comment between me and my (favourite) Uncle Paully...

I am a big fan of Cheesycam.com and wanted to buy their official t-shirt

However they refused to ship it to Canada, so Darth agreed to forward one to me... this is not the first time he has been so gracious as to act as a US forwarding service for me, the last time was a tripod (which unfortunately didn't work out in the end due to its lack of quality).

    Guess who?

You guessed it (ok you didn't), EXACT same situation as my OP.

Another poor Italian customer sitting in limbo for three months while his order is bouning around the Italian customs office. So, even though I am Italian, I've had to put a disclaimer on my webstore regarding orders to Italy and their long customs list- of which my product is NOT on. Bummer.

So there really is no good solution to this, as I've found. It seems like the packages end up where they are supposed to, or sent back, EVENTUALLY, but 3 months is a long time to have to wait to find out.

I wonder if I just called it something else on the customs form if that would help. Wait, maybe I shouldn't have said that..... Any input?

Disclaimer: We ship to USA, Canada, and most places in Europe (except Italy due to repeated issues with customs, our sincere apologies).

    Sorry it's a a little off topic.

Just last week, two days in a row, I received two chargebacks through Paypal. First I was pissed at Paypal. But then I realized, chargebacks could happen whenever accepting credit card payments. Either someone was using a stolen credit card, or, a dishonest buyer cheated by telling the credit card company they didn't authorized the transaction after they received the merchandise.

Really there is no way to catch those dishonest people. It's just sad CC company only protect buyers, not not us sellers. :/

Thanks garbage dude. I guess there is a price we pay as sellers. At least, in my case, it's a relatively small one... though it doesn't taste any better!

Well, it looks like Italian customs is going to win afterall...

Haven't been on the boards much but HVFF follow focus sales are still KILLING- must be youtube.....

Anyway, just recently got the email I was hoping never to get again.... "it's still not here."

And again, poor Italian (or at least resident) has been waiting to no avail...

Problem is, as far as I know- after all the emails from worried customers, and all the trips to the post office and calls to customs... All packages, albeit some as late as 90 days- got there, intact. One was returned (wrong address anyway) but at least all was accounted for.

This particular customer, who is as patient as possible (and does not want a refund because he wants the FF) has been waiting in excess of 5 months. Nothing.

Is there any way to ship to somehwere neighboring, like another country with leaner prohibitions, or somwthing along these lines?

I don't want to be dishonest or break any laws but I personally have helped people by recieving their stuff and then sending to them to at least save shipping costs... Ask my nephew HD-tog, he's a great kid!

Can this be done to just...straight.... get the darn package to this inncredily awesome guy? or would anybody be able to assist that it's in the region? I feel studpid for even asking because after this NO MORE SHIPPING TO ITALY!!I'm so sorry to have to do it, but it's the right thing. Selling a person a roller coaster ride is stressful and not fun for anyone, and all I've ever wanted to do is get people this tool. It appears that this transaction will not end with him getting the package I sent. I am not happy about that.

I have a hard time keeping production going as it is, and it's been very stressful lately trying to balance the whole big picture. These HVFF's, as proud as I am of all the units I've spread around the world, have been hard work, that is not getting any easier!!

So Sorry Italy, but you win. I'm not going to be able to ship to you unless some special circumstance can be arranged. I just have to put my foot down.
Well if anyone has any insight, feel free to have a go...

According to your post in the HVFF thread, you need a vacation in any way. Italy is very nice in fall (when all them tourists are gone and prices are lower). Just take it with you.

You might even trouble to send stuff to Italy from within the EU area. At least the Xmas packages I had sent to my sis in Italy were lucky to reach the recipient.

Other websellers refuse to ship to Italy, too, so it's no disgrace to you.

It is Italy's postal and custom service that is disgraceful.

I don't think that anyone is disrespecting the whole country, but there are a lot of online sellers who will not ship to Italy.

From darthpaully's posts, you can see why he is making a decision not to as well.
