Default Video cameras that record to two memory cards?

Are there any video cameras under $3000 that record to two memory cards at the same time? Right now I use handycam style cameras for my business since all my content is unscripted reality style stuff hence I need good follow focus, auto focus, auto exposure, etc, mostly heavy auto support since the scenes can change rapidly and unpredictably. My main fear right now is that each shoot is recorded only to internal camera memory, and I'm worried that one of these days it will fail and poof an entire shoot is lost. Are there any video cameras that record to two memory cards at the same time for some redundancy? So at least if one memory breaks I can still recover the shoot from the other. The Sony CX550 that I currently use has both internal memory and supports ad in memory cards but alas it can only record to one at the same time.

Hi. Have you searched for 'camcorder dual cards'? I think these are at about the same level as your current Sony but are 'seamless recording' devices.

But I guess what you are after is simultaneous recording to both... tricky at consumer level, no?

This allows simultaneous recording to both SDHC cards.

As far as I know from Canon specs, the Vixia HF G10 has double slot recording, which is what you're looking for. But there may be others cams that have it.

Double slot recording is not the same as relay recording, where recording only switches to a second card when the first one is full.

3000 dollar? Canon XF100, JVC HM100/150, and that Sony thing in the same price league. It's a standard feature for that price.
Canon XF100 has face detection that should make it easy to follow automatically. What I've seen so far, the XF has pretty good auto everything. The best camera in this price segment atm.

The same Canon page also says this about the HF-G10:

"With Relay Recording, the camcorder automatically switches video recording from the internal drive to the SD memory cards when the memory becomes full."

For that budget, the XA10 has 64GB internal memory and XLR connectors. Use the difference to by extra batteries and memory cards.

Awesome, looks like there are more choices than I expected! For some reason I expected it to only be available in uber cameras but I guess it's trickled down now. I didn't know the feature was called double slot recording, but knowing that has now made it easier to google for it. Thanks guys!
