Thanks for the infos. Any review of some sort, pictures you might want to shares? (even if there's some nice ones on ebay). I'd like to hear more about it. Maybe a short video showing it?
    That would be nice!

I agree! It's been quick! Don't know how much time it would take to reach this side of the border.
I'm actually bugging charlie to get one!
It looks like it worth more than the price paid!

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

Jim - I'm glad it got there alright. If you could take a minute to leave me feedback on ebay page it would help me immensely. Many people are wary of my product because of my low price and need to see some proof of credibility.

Randy, I assume you received yours as well? How do you like it?

That's for sure: when someone if offering something decent at half of the retail price, you might ask yourself if there's anything wrong. But, I'm sure it's a great product. Can't wait until early January!

Hey Jim, any chance on a short video demonstrating it while using it? I'm curious.

Hey guys. Sorry, I have been very busy. My first impressions were very positive but I had a big week long shoot coming up so I decided to field test it before a full review. Just finished with that and it has exceeded my expectations in a few areas (this thing is VERY lightweight). I'll be posting a slightly more in detail review in a bit.

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM LUX CINEMA

It was just recently that we began selling our first batch of 20 Falcon Carbon Fiber Boom Poles. We have now sold out of the 12 foot model and have only two 9 foot poles left for sale. We have been selling about 1 pole a day which I personally think is pretty good so we have decided to move forward and continue doing business. Unfortunately we did not plan ahead for the high demand and we did not have a large enough stock available. Unfortunately we have some business related issues we are trying to sort out as well as some manufacturing delays and so, and this is the bad news, we will be OUT OF STOCK until early to mid february, after our remaining poles sell out, so if you want a 9 foot pole, don't wait.

We're sorry for the inconvenience but we'll be back mid february and our prices will be as low as they are now!

One side note is that we WILL be selling "bargain" boom pole items on our ebay page in the mean time. The are everything to prototype poles to poles that didn't quite pass our quality control for sale at full price but that are still usable, so keep a heads up for these items.

Thanks for the support and happy new year!

I'm sorry to hear that, as I've been reading only good comments about your pole since you posted about it.
However, when I first read about being "out of stock" I searched for another option and found the Røde boompole for 129$ on B&H and finally decided to go with it after analysing both poles. The only deciding fact is mainly that on the Røde pole, you can pass the cable inside the pole so if I ever want to use a cabled pole, I'll have the possibility to do it.

That being said, keep it up, your sales seems to be very well started!

That Rode boom pole is only 81 inches, is not carbon fiber, and there is no mention of internal wiring.

I'll post a video I found on youtube, it's french but it shows that you can put the cable inside the pole. It's of course not carbon, but the difference in weight is barely noticeable. And the one I've (actually forgot) to link isn't 81inch, but 10feet. Here it is:

Is it just me or does the boom in the video look more like the mini pole rather than the 10 footer? Of course I can't be sure cause I don't speak french

    - Looks like because of the foam on the handle, but I'm pretty sure it's the 10feet version, as he states that it extend up to 10feet.
Anyway, let's not hijack his thread and keep it about the carbon pole! (I'll post details and review in my own thread about DIY ~35$ boompole).

drapeama, no hard feelings, I know sometimes you can't wait on a purchase. Plus the rode booms are good as far as aluminum poles go. Just checked the specs and it is about twice as heavy but it'll still get the job done.

Just an UPDATE: Bargain items now available for discounted prices.

Normal items will be back in stock soon!

Ok then! I ordered it on Sunday and I was hoping it all the week to arrive before the weekend!
Yeah, about twice the weight of it, but as it has the option to pass the cable through I think it's a fair compromise.

Just noticed you're no longer selling the boompoles on ebay?

There's only the 12ft version available, at 149$ which is great for the price!
