Masking issue in Sony Vegas Pro 10?
Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone could really help me with this. I'm stumped/frustrated at the moment, I'm doing a head shot scene in Sony Vegas Pro 10. I'm trying to get a blood splatter(Action Essentials-2) onto a wall behind the head. I mask the head, and I'm able to get the blood splatter behind the head and onto the wall.
Now my issue is, when I'm finalizing the scene by adding in my color correction. The masked area remains the same color as the original footage. And everything around it is color corrected. Basically you see the mask around the head. I can't seem to figure this out. BUT if I don't add in any color correction everything is fine. I tried playing with the feathering/opacity/etc, nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's what I'm talking about for clarification;
Original footage, blood splatter on wall, no color correction, no masking.

No color correction, mask applied around the head, blood splatter behind head and on the wall

Final effect, blood spatter behind wall, mask around the head, and color correction added.

There's the problem, you notice the final edit when I apply color correction. Everything around the mask get's color corrected except the masked area. I don't know how to fix this. I even added color correction to the masked area, and it still doesn't make a difference. I still end up seeing the outline of the mask, and the color still doesn't match up.
