Wasnt really sold in on the guys acting, unless his role was to be a jerk, etc then he was on point.
I was hoping to get a slider short or some circular movement but that is just a personal taste. When they were eyeing each other, could we have had some extreme close up? Or was there a reason for choice made?
Seemed to have some shallow depth of field - what was the cam a dslr or hvxxx?
Those camera movements you mentioned are always an option but can be over done especially in comedy. I feel those movements work really well in dramatic pieces. But still they were certainly options that would have looked nice.
I used a Panasonic GH1 with a 50mm prime.

Continuity- the top piece changes color from angle to angle (his CU's, the thing is yellow, when we're looking at her, it's red) for much of the dialogue... I found it too distracting to give the whole thing a fair shake.

Oh okay got it. Yeah, I knocked the block tower over twice during the shoot so things got mixed up after the first topple. By the way, that girl was 5' flat so she was sitting on a phone book. Just a fun fact haha.
