Ask your buddy to download QT Player.

Hey CG, I have Flip4Mac and it still doesn't work! It exports it but it ALWAYS freezes half-way through the video. No matter if it's 5 minutes or 1 minute, it always freezes near the half-way point. Always.

Which version do you have? It happens with the 29 dollar version. The $49 Studio thing works perfectly, fully integrated into Compressor, but you only have one preset. Good enough for my WMV clients though.

The best way to share clips with Windows is still the QT Player.

I just downloaded quicktime movie on a PC but the movie still doesn't play. I also exported as mp4 from Final Cut, set the quality to best, and it works on the pc, but the quality isn't good. Help please.

Yea... I downloaded QT Player on my brother's PC and tried to play the video I made in Final Cut Pro 7.0 ( exported as HDV 1080i 60) and it doesn't play.

Shoulda used jpeg compression or h.264 in your mov container. Windows should be able to read that.
