Thread: hv30 and hv40 footage on one timeline

Default hv30 and hv40 footage on one timeline

For a 2 camera shoot we used a hv30 and hv40. The HV30 doesn't shoot in native 24p obviously, so I used a compressor preset I made using settings I found on the apple support site for removing pulldown from hv20 footage. When I did it on most of the footage, it looks fine. But for some reason during this 2 camera shoot, even after the pulldown is removed it has this sort of "choppy" look to the footage. Any idea what that could be?

Same exposure time in both? Correct cadence in pulldown removal?

Probably higher than 1/48th second shutter speed that caused that stuttery look on movement. You might be able to lessen it by adding some artificial motion blur.
