Default Mixing footage from xha1s and hv40

This may be a dumb question but I'm fairly new to this. Will there be any issues with mixing hv40 hard drive footage with xha1s mini dv footage in post production? Thanks!

I guess you mean High Definition footage...

If you've recorded DV footage with the other camera, there are issues. You either have to edit in DV or in HDV.

However, if both cameras were used to capture HDV, then no problem editing both in a HD timeline...

With most recently released editing software, no. Just use DV widescreen if you intend to mix it with HDV.

They should look pretty similar since the chip sizes are similar. It gets complicated when you add an HDSLR into the mix. But these two cameras will look great together.
