Wow, Marc that is very generous of you.

As soon as I read about the contest theme, I thought it would be tough but the more I thought about it, the better it got. I picked up one of my favorite books and started pulling lines out of it and putting scenes down on paper. My short may play out more like a film trailer for that particular book featuring some lines or "quotes" from the book. Don't know if people will like that style, but it seems to be where I am headed with it.

I'm like you, trying to get something together for this contest. I've only filmed two scenes but I have the whole thing wrote on paper...and planned this week when to shoot the rest of it. As long as I stick to my schedule, I'll get it done. I'm buying camera tracker tonight, I have some textures I want to use on my walls to turn my drywall into a cracked mess with the camera moving. I'm excited to try it.

I can't believe I rushed into buying that. I bought it last night and realized it only worked on After Effects CS4 or CS5. I have CS3 pro and don't want to cough up the money for the new versions. That kinda ruined my night. My own stupid mistake! lol

Yeah, makes me feel like quite a boob. But on the bright side...eventually I will have to upgrade out of necessity and I will have that plugin waiting. I am still filming tonight, but some of my visual effects I wanted to do will not be possible. oh well.

I wrote and let customer service at videocopilot know that I had ordered without checking to see if my version was actually compatible and they were nice enough to cancel the order. Can't believe they would cancel, it was totally my fault. This is the second time I've dealt with their customer service and it has been stellar both times. They are great to work with! wow. I'm speechless.

That's pretty awesome (sorry, Huey). It's always good to see great customer service like that. But anyway, how's everyone coming along? I'm still awaiting my last filming day (hopefully Monday) and then It's time to edit.
