Wanna help make an independent film shot on the HV20 in L.A?

I’m a writer/director directing my first feature looking for a producer, an assistant, and other like-minded people to collaborate with. It’s a coming-of-age story in the mold of The Graduate/Garden State. I’m taking a little bit of a different approach here in order to save money, prepping during the week and shooting (mainly) on the weekends. Although I’ve listed “titles” for the positions I need, really I just need someone who can help, a jack-of-all-trades who is going to dedicate themselves to the project the same way I have. Because I’m working off no budget, I won’t be able to pay (at least not initially). So this is really for people who are looking for experience (I guarantee by the end of this experience you’ll know how to make a film) or who love film so much they’re willing to help other filmmakers in need. Either way, I would be happy to return the favor on any projects you might be working on. And please, if you don’t have a lot of time to spare but still want to help, contact me. I can still use you.

SYNOPSIS: DAVID POSLEY, 28, is a lost soul living a monotonous uninspired life, constantly consumed by the memories of Anna, his one true love, a girl who left him over seven years ago. Realizing his life isn’t what he wants it to be, David embarks on a cross-country trek to find her. It is on this journey that he meets TOMMI, a beautiful philosophizing misfit who sells umbrellas in rainless Los Angeles. David is fascinated by Tommi, who seems to have everything figured out. As the two set off to San Francisco to find Anna, Tommi’s unorthodox approach to friendship begins to blur the line of what exactly she wants from David. Is her intent genuine? Or is there a deeper secret that brings her along on this quest?

Sorry, yeah I meant the West Side LA area. Orange Country may be a hike but it's up to you. Again, if you only had to come up for the weekends, it might work out. Van Nuys isn't that far though. I'll pm both you guys.
