The original Santa Claus is still active!
Today it is the birthday of Sinterklaas (notice the simularity in the name?!) He is the oldest man in the world, at least according little childeren in the Netherlands. They put their shoe next to the chimney and they hope they will find their wish-present in there the next morning.
Sinterklaas rides on a white horse over the roofs and his helpers descent through the chimney to deliver the presents.
So if you guys from the US think you are going to celebrate a unique event in a few weeks, you know now, that history says different.
This is my revenge for the teasing thread on Thanksgiving, that we outsiders did not have anything to celebrate on that day.
